- Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) an accredited university in the United States
- Environmental majors appreciated, but not required
- Passion for sustainability, climate change, and the environment
- Skills: adaptability, analysis, collaboration, communication, creativity, leadership, motivation, perseverance, public speaking, research, teamwork, and writing
- Preferred (but not required) hard skills: Excel, Google Suite, graphic design
- 5+ hour commitment per week
- Attendance of weekly meetings with campus team and/or initiative-based committee (curriculum, waste, dining, administration)
- Establishing a baseline for sustainability on campus
- Identifying areas of success and areas of lack in sustainability efforts, culture, and planning on campus
- Identifying initiatives that speak to you most
- Consistent outreach to stakeholders (e.g., other students, student groups, faculty, staff) both at your university and at others across the country and within the program
- Researching leading strategies for chosen initiative/committee, consolidating best practices
- Leading meetings with stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication, and establishing long-term working relationships
