We recently had the AMAZING opportunity to speak with Catherine C Flowers - Public Figure of the Biden Climate Task Force about her journey as an environmental justice advocate for rural communities and her new book Waste: One Woman’s Fight Against America’s Dirty Secret published by The New Press! From Lowndes County, Alabama, Flowers currently serves as founder of the Center for Rural Enterprise and Environmental Justice, on the board of directors at Climate Reality and as Rural Development Manager at the Equal Justice Initiative Additionally, she is a Duke University Franklin Humanities Institute Practitioner in Residence Duke Human Rights Center at the Franklin Humanities Institute. Her goal is to develop more equitable and renewable wastewater infrastructure for all, especially rural Americans.

They have patented new permeable hardscape “pavement-like” technologies that allow rainwater to flow through the material into the ground below, while filtering out sediment and pollutants in stormwater that are known to impair clean waterways.

He believes a healthy environment should be equitable…clean water, clean air, clean food for all. We are far from that place today, but there are people and companies working on these huge challenges and he believes that tremendous progress is being made.

Most well-known for his vegan dips and cooking shows, McQueen is the youngest award-winning vegan chef in the UK and has even started his own company, Dipalicious.
