These projects are devoted to community development, meaning they surround combining environmental protection and improved quality of life efforts. This is accomplished in many different ways around the world, including through the implementation of regenerative agriculture, local infrastructure, education programs, and more. This page is continuously updated with their most recent projects. Each of these organizations has a 501(c)3 status and all donations through the links provided will be tax-deductible in countries such as the United States.

Corcovado Foundation - Regenerative Agriculture

The Corcovado Foundation is a non-profit organization, which since 1999 has worked to protect the highly biodiverse areas of Costa Rica and especially the communities of the Southern Pacific of Costa Rica. The Osa Peninsula alone hosts 50% of the biodiversity in Costa Rica, and 2,5% of the world’s biodiversity. Unfortunately, the communities surrounding these protected areas are also some of the poorest populations in the country. They are geographically isolated and therefore underserved by the government agencies. This project objective is to create sustainable livelihoods and promote food independence by training families on regenerative agriculture, analogue restoration and providing them with the basic supplies required to successfully implement their edible gardens and sustainable farms in the southern region, plus providing resilience from climate change.

  • 50 additional families in the Southern Region have been trained to implement regenerative agriculture.
  • 50 families have the supplies needed to successfully implement their project.
  • At least one network of regenerative agriculture has been created to exchange seeds, knowledge and promote commercialization.
  • 500 acres of land protected under the regenerative agriculture.
  • 15000 trees planted/ 15 hectares/38 acres restored by 2025
