Seychelles Sustainable Tourism Foundation

Seychelles Sustainable Tourism Foundation (SSTF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. With an impactful action plan and many initiatives, SSTF is able to support various environmental and sustainable tourism projects in Seychelles. Their projects Don’t Waste, Eat and Pristine Seychelles are critical to their success in their mission to engage in and promote sustainable tourism locally. They have a number of partners and ongoing research projects and offer numerous educational opportunities for the local community and tourists.

Nature Seychelles

Nature Seychelles is the largest and oldest NGO in the country and has been working for over 20 years in environmental conservation and management. They are dedicated to preserving Seychelles’ biodiversity through scientific, management, and educational programs. They also offer programs on the various sites in which they do conservation work, such as Cousin Island, which became the world’s first internationally owned reserve in 1968.

Seychelles Conservation and Climate Adaptation Trust (SeyCCAT)

The Seychelles Conservation and Climate Adaptation Trust (SeyCCAT) is a non-profit organization focused on protecting Seychelles’ ocean and islands through developing strong, long-lasting collaborations and partnerships. As an active project donor, they provide funds to various organizations to support the stewardship of Seychelles’ ocean resources, island life, and blue economy. By granting these funds, they are able to support ecosystem protection, rehabilitation and conservation while simultaneously empowering local people and initiatives.

Sustainability for Seychelles (S4S) is an non-governmental organization that was formed by a group of environmentalists that are passionate about “green living” and committed to inspiring the people of Seychelles to live more sustainably. They currently develop educational and training programs that focus on sustainable lifestyles, as well as advocate for the use of renewable energy and eco-friendly technology throughout the country. They believe that by providing tips and guidance to citizens, tourists, businesses, and organizations, they can create a more nature-oriented and climate friendly country.
