The Tenkile Conservation Alliance (TCA)

The Tenkile Conservation Alliance facilitates the conservation of rainforest communities and animal species in Papua New Guinea. Founded in 2001, TCA utilizes a bottom-up approach to preserve the biodiversity of their rainforests, the wellbeing of their communities, and their cultural identity. A few of their primary goals are to save the critically endangered Tenkile and Weimang Tree Kangaroos, establish the Torricelli Mountain Range as a legally protected area, and help reconnect communities with their traditional practices of sustainable resource management.
