Corporate Pledges

The Climate Pledge

The Climate Pledge is a call to businesses and organizations to take collective action on the world’s greatest crisis and to work together to build towards a safe and healthy planet for the next generations.

The Climate Pledge is a cross-sector community of companies and organizations, working together to crack the climate crisis and solve the challenges of decarbonizing our economy.

Bringing together those that are prepared to run the furthest and fastest, The Climate Pledge calls on signatories to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2040—10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement. Amazon co-founded the Climate Pledge with Global Optimism in 2019, and became the first signatory of the pledge.

Carbon Neutrality Coalition

The Carbon Neutrality Coalition brings together a group of pioneering countries that have agreed to develop ambitious climate strategies to meet the long-term objectives of the Paris Agreement.

In support of these goals, the members of the Carbon Neutrality Coalition will work to:

Demonstrate and showcase how long-term, low greenhouse gas emissions, climate resilient development strategies can become the “lodestar” against which shorter-term planning and policy-making is measured.

Provide leadership through exchange of experiences, information, tools and case studies towards setting pathways for carbon neutrality with others in the Coalition and outside.

Advocate for increased global ambition on mitigation, including through new and innovative channels, and undertake climate action to match the ambition reflected in the Paris Agreement.

Encourage further membership from countries to the Coalition and alignment of subnational and non-State actors with the objectives of the Coalition.

While its role is not to set climate policy or prescribe particular responses or solutions to climate change, its purview does include providing the robust scientific data needed to understand climate change. NASA then makes this information available to the global community – the public, policy- and decision-makers and scientific and planning agencies around the world.

Kids’ Climate Pledge

Our youngest co-founder — who we avoid naming on the internet because she’s only 6 — wanted to design her own climate pledge so her friends could learn more about climate action. The pledge gives kids 7 fun ideas — everything from tasting a non-dairy ice cream to making a video explaining why they care about the climate — and you can pledge to take action or say ‘not for me’ and move on to the next option. They record your choices, but it’s totally anonymous!

Sector Specific

Fashion Charter for Climate Action
